STAINES, SURREY
Staines is situated on the River Thames in the North-West of Surrey. Staines is used by ferry companies for summer sailings to Windsor in the west and Hampton Court to the east. An old market town and crossing point, Staines still has an outdoor market on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the High Street. It also has two indoor shopping centres as well as the original High Street shops. The Old Town Hall Arts Centre (formerly Staines Town Hall) is used as a venue for various entertainments, workshops and classes.
